Dan Rather And CBS Continue Condit-Levy Censorship
NewsMax.com 7-17-1
On Monday night, Dan Rather and CBS "Evening News" continued their months old censorship of the Condit-Levy story by not mentioning a word about the ongoing scandal. Apparently they don't want to report anything negative about Democratic Congressman Gary Condit. NewsMax.com has taken the lead in exposing this outrageous example of censorship and media bias. We have little doubt that if Congressman Condit was a Republican, CBS and Rather would have been all over this story. NewsMax.com's coverage is taking the nation by storm: talk radio, the Internet and other outlets are buzzing about this in-your-face arrogance of CBS. Even Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly came out swinging Monday night, strongly criticizing Rather and company for their bias. Don't let Rather and CBS get away with this outrage. Already, thousands of calls have flooded CBS and parent company Viacom/CBS. NewsMax.com readers are being given the runaround by CBS operators, who refer them to a phone number that goes unanswered. If you agree that Rather is engaging in censorship and should be replaced, please call Viacom/CBS at 212-258-6000. Ask for CBS President Mel Karmazin and demand that: 1) CBS report the facts of the Levy-Condit story; and 2) Dan Rather be relieved of his duties immediately. Remind CBS that as a private company, CBS does not own the airwaves, but has a license to broadcast only at the pleasure of you, the American people. At the suggestion of several readers, NewsMax.com is offering bumper stickers for citizens to express their disgust with CBS. |
