Hello Newton,

It sounds like you wrote the CCs BEFORE the announced AT&T AWE deal to shareholders. I would bet that the AWE shares goes along with your buyer's CC contracts in this case.

Double check this situation with the OCC at 1-800-Options. They should be able to give you a final ruling BEFORE the expiration close on July 20, 2001 this Friday.

Let us know what happens. This is an interesting situation that other covered calls writers might be interested to know.
