Re your statement: "You can't edit compressed video". Sorry, but you're 100 percent wrong. I've been editing compressed video 8-10 hours a day for about 6 years now on systems that are built around Cube technology. It's why I've held this stock for almost 4 years. They were the ones who played a huge role in the development of non-linear editing and I believe in their vision as a company. I use an Avid Media Composer which uses compressed video. It's JPeg compression, but it IS commpressed. Also Digital Betacam is compressed video as is D2, DVC, D3 etc. All of the above are broadcastable, editable formats.
