Re: AMD in a precarious position?

Intel has effectively removed PIII from the market by overpricing it and AMD can supply, at most, 30% of demand.

What else could possibly happen except for more P4 sales?

Dean isn't usually quite so dim.

Intel used to make PIII's for $25 and sell them to OEMS for $125, now they are making P4's for $60 and selling them to OEMS for $100.

This will be a tough quarter for AMD, it will be a tougher one for Intel.
