Dave: You're turning this silly sparring that we do on SI into a holy crusade. I suggest you ease up. Truth of the matter is I never see such Armegeddon-like behavior from those who post left of center. Actually, Christ's "turn the other cheek" statement was a radical, political statement ... and very subtle. By turning the cheek, the victim was actually forcing the abuser to strike with the other side of his hand, which was demeaning in Jewish culture in the Middle East at that time. In other words, embarrass him who embarrasses you. Re: "Left wing ideology is a failed enterprise that can't stand on its own." If that's so, then why did the other guy get more votes on Nov. 8?
