Netscape does not respect other stocks' earnings

Dear John,
Netscape moved today as it was moving all along because it's a
game of its own. By rules, what's good for Microsoft should be bad
for Netscape, shouldn't it? But, it did break out of the range because
closing above 141 1/2 constituted a breakout that can take the
stock to all-time highs. A split is coming within 48 hours as you know,
which could be an additional factor. In the factors that you
mentioned to Michael Hillman, one thing is omitted -- options on
Netscape will start trading almost immediately after splitting.
Best regards.

P.S. Pay attention to my little friend APLX, which has virtual control
over Unix-based application suites for Internet/Java. Sun
Microsystems is their major customer, the stock recently split and
presently is backing and filling before its earnings announcement
which will surprise the Herd.
