Mary, <Analyst Joe Osha said he lowered his 2001 forecast to 53 cents a share from 56 cents share>

Intel has already made 28 cents for half a year, and it's likely Q3 and Q4 will collectively net more profit for Intel than Q1 and Q2 together. The "price war" has been going on for a while, and it's unlikely to get any worse considering that AMD is losing money and Intel has no reason to accelerate already planned price cuts. I'm sure all of this has been factored into Intel's own Q3 forecast, which is for slightly higher revenues and most probably slightly higher earnings as well.

Yet Joe Osha still thinks Intel is headed for a fall. For a guy who GV says has no credibility, he sure gets a lot of coverage.
