All I know is mine completely quit working.
Each time I try to use it the computer tells me that I may have a scanner hooked up to my PC but it cannot find it.

For months I have worked on my computer and done everything there is to do. As a last resort yesterday I reinstalled my operating system to see if I had somekind of internal error that was causing the computer to not find the scanner. That did not work. The only thing left that it could be is the scanner itself is bad.

Today I just happen to look up the 4200C on Amazon so I could read the reviews on it. The other owners of the 4200 said the same thing. Its a great scanner but it doesn't last long.
