Microsoft (MSFT) 70.57 -1.25: Company asks U.S. Appeals Court to reconsider its ruling that the company illegally "commingled" code of its Internet Explorer browser and Windows operating system. MSFT believes that the ruling was based on "clearly erroneous" findings of a lower court judge. (Reuters)

Nortel Networks (NT) 7.58 -0.32: S&P reduces rating on NT debt to BBB from A-2; sees "significant" uncertainty about companies ability to pay its debt.

Alpha Ind (AHAA) 31.75 +1.47: Reports Q1 loss of $0.09 a share, in line with the First Call consensus of ($0.09), vs year-ago earnings of $0.20; revenues fell 50.9% to $32.22 mln from a year-ago of $65.69 mln.
