Scrapps,

Has the FCC realized that the RBOC's have actually killed competition? Are there any ruling re: Verizon or SBC? I've always felt that it was in the best interests of the RBOC's to roll-out DSL, in fact wouldn't it have been cheaper on a 'truck roll' basis that they adopt a G-Lite version of DSL? Everyone would have benefited. As for satellite...I agree with you, I think it will be the ultimate way to communicate and receive/send info. That's why I checked out Globalstar years ago. I never was comfortable with their marketing plan, and I just didn't know it they were able to update their sats from voice to data in a cheap, efficient and reliable manner. It seems that the market thinks that they can't!! Given this I still lose my cell-phone connections while driving through quite a few locations in the South Shore of MA.

Thanks again.
