Sounds more Messianic than anything. We should get our house in order first. It seems to have gotten more disorderly with time. I don't attribute this Crolyism but to putting self-interest above altruism, way above and rising. This bit of human nature predates Croly by quite a few years, although he has many valid observations. Too bad his was a voice crying in the wilderness. If a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? btw, "ordered liberty" should go to the head of the list of oxymorons. Chas
