The medium priced houses are taking 2 to 6 months to sell - instead of the 2 to 6 days of early last year. Asking prices seem to have come down a bit (15% to 20%), but the real pain hasn't started - unless the job market recovers. ....The depth of the cutbacks in production is frightening. I've been told production starts for some optical components have been slashed by more than 90%. It looks like most techs companies are reacting aggressively - good. Also, salaries don't seem to be as sticky as in the past... If home prices come back to the 1995 levels - that is another ~30%-40% drop.
