My WAG based on todays QCOM/NOK price action is that Nokia will say everything is hunky-dory with GSM/GPRS going forward but that W-CDMA will be delayed.

Also just a WAG....but I think most of the bad news that could come out of the Nokia call has been discounted. However, I would be a little surprised at a concession by Nokia about W-CDMA....it would hurt their strategic position versus CDMA2000. It would be much easier for Qualcomm to make the case to TDMA operators if Nokia changes the target date for W-CDMA to '03. My theory is that W-CDMA will always be 6-9 months away. They wouldnt announce a delay of W-CDMA until spring '02.

I think that the PCS call will be just as important as Nokia. We need a hard schedule/pricing plan/handsets for 1xrtt to be announced. The LG handset that was approved by the FCC a couple of days ago looks like it is specifically for Verizon.
