Hay X,

It's mid-week sauna time.. Since we are haying in mid-July... We have to rest those muscles.. you know. Let that heat open our pores.....

But so many people, do not even know what physical work is.. what the "roots of our country do", what the women and men are out there doing, Studs Terkel wrote about it, it was called "Working" or maybe it was "The Great Divide" or both..,I don't remember

So maybe we should read Joseph Heller,, "Something Happened". that understood the fragiliy of life. I don't know.. Maybe read Paul Fussel's stuff, about war and such, Not too glamorous, I might add, as viewed from outside the beltway. Even a little Edward Abbey to get a feel of the environment, without the touchy-feely aspect..

Or Henry Miller, who broke the sexual line, but had so so much more to say.. Or Anis Nin... a lover of HM..who openly about her fantasies, but went so much deeper..

Or so many others, like Hemingway's "For whom the Bell Tolls" .. that explored the people and feelings for taking a stand...
