Another thought on eventual DDR support by Intel: It wouldn't surprise me if they changed the spec on the package or something else, e.g., decided to only support the laptop DDR package instead of the standard 184 pin DDR package.

The industry would bow to the mighty Intel and throw a monkey wrench into AMD's early support of DDR.

Just a (paranoid) thought.
