The world could see if Intel suffered a yield crash but who would ever know if IBM's yields were in the toilet? Who can tell if they're always in the toilet? The point is that many people just accept on faith that IBM is a state of the art process leader but where is the proof they are a top notch manufacturer and why would their technology make AMD one?
