The brown recluse can be sumbichs. About 30 years ago when I lived in Mt. Vernon, IL, there was a case of a young man killed by brown recluse spiders. He was backpacking cross-country from who knows where to who knows where. He stopped to spend the night in an old barn and never woke up. When he was found the next day the autopsy report listed over 200 brown recluse bites. He apparently had lain down near them or rolled over onto a nest. They resemble a black widow except they are brown and have stronger venom.
