yep...yesterday St.Paul also said it was hit by claims. all the insurers have to struggle with the enormous overcapacities in the industry...no pricing power. i can imagine that that leads to them seeking higher returns on their investments, which means in turn that they take on more risk. i'll have to take a close look at their reports to see if i can find some corroborating evidence there.
