About sentiment indicators, particularly % bull vs bear advisors, I think that particular reading(bull vs. bear) may be misleading now. This is because first, those in the bull camp and their bullish sentiment are due to the wildly recognized and expected recovery from 4Q/01 and beyond. Such a recovery put them in the bullish sentiment. Second, this bear's tooth is getting a bit too long as you stated and bull will eventually come back toward the end of this yr. Thirdly, the earning estimates have been lowered so much, it is very easy to beat those estimates in 4Q and beyond. I think it is the combinatioin of the above three factors that lead to much higher % of bulls vs. bear.
