Tom, I am not going to do your homework for you . If you don't have access to medical journals, if you don't know the answer to fundamental marketing questions of medical stocks, then YOU SHOULD NOT BE INVESTING IN VIVUS OR ANY OTHER MEDICAL STOCK in my humble opinion, either short or long because one of these days you'll get burned. ( this is why I DON'T invest in software cos. from Veritas, to Rational Software, Peoplesoft,etc etc.;because I don't want to invest in something that I don't know and have the rug pulled all of a sudden from under me . The questions that you ask have already been answered in the Vivus WEB site,in the Barron's article Re: the impotence wars, in the NEJM article of Jan '97. I believe you should have made an effort to get and read that stuff long time ago; this is old sstuff but still of vital importance : remember Santayanna: those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it's mistakes; read your history Tom. ( I am sorry if I sound harsh but this is the treatment I got from the person that trained me: his daily comment to us residents : I am not going to spoonfeed you ).
