Very well, Tim. I ought to have said that 88 % of abortions were performed in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy instead of saying 90%. And I ought to have pointed out that 12 weeks was (chuckle) LESS than 3 months. And I ought to have pointed out the completely irrelevent technicality that the human growth is only referred to as embryos for most of those 12 weeks, not for all of them. And I ought to have pointed out that ONE percent of abortions occur after the fifth month--in cases of extreme necessity. And I ought to have pointed out that 56 % of abortions take place in the first 56 days. Perhaps that might have made it more "obvious" to you. I regret that you believed that I held the opinion that 90 % of abortions happened in the first 21 days of pregnancy. I assure you that I had not reversed my thinking on all the many postings I have made to you on this subject over the weeks we have talked. But I ought to have made it more "obvious". I ought to have said: "88 % (not 90 %) of abortions are performed in the first 12 weeks (not 3 months and NOT 3 weeks, LOL!)--on the embryo AND (for part of a month) on a fetus (I should not have said, "on the embryo" because human embryos are termed "fetuses" in the third month).

All I was trying to convey was that 90% of abortions take place in the first 3 months. Damn it: I did it again. I mean that 88% of abortions take place in the first 84 days. I am sorry that I confused you so that what I was meaning was not "obvious". I was not intentionally adding 2 % on to the total. I said 90 because another web site had given it as 90. I defer to your usage of 88.
