Paul and all,
Any PC processor advertisement in Denmark will if at all possible include the word Pentium. I observed the following sales add in an Helsingoer paper:

CAMCO 686 P166+
IBM 6x86 P166+ processor, pentium motherboard, 256Kb burst cache, 32 Mb EDO ram, 72 pin simm, 2.5 GB harddisk, 8X speed CD-Rom drev, 16 bit Genius lydkort (soundcard), 50 W aktive stereo speakers, 2 Mb PCI grafikkort, Software MPEG, Windows 95 Dk on CD-Rom ny version inkl. PLUS, 105 tasters keyboard, Genius 3 knaps seriel mus, 3 months hotline Cost 8995 Kr (about $1421, without monitor)

Two other processor adds appeared on the same page,
IBM APTIVA 440, Intel Pentium 133 cpu, 12Mb ram,1.2Gb, 8X for 9995 Kr
IBM APTIVA 351, Pentium 120 MHZ, 12Mb, 850 MB harddisk, 8X for 7995Kr

In the sunday morning edition of Jyllands-Posten, June 1, 1997:
electric city had a full newspaper page add. I will merely give the titles of each processor pictured (omitting details)

HERE IS MULTIMEDIA AND LOTS TO CHOOSE FROM
1. OLIVETTI PC /PENTIUM 166 MHZ MMX, Kr.15,999.
2. IBM PC /PENTIUM 133 MHZ, was Kr. 11,799, now Kr. 9,999.
3. COMPAQ PC /PENTIUM 166 MHZ MXX, Kr. 17,995.
4. APOLLO PC /PENTIUM 200 MHZ, was Kr. 14,999, now Kr. 11,999.
5. APOLLO PC /PENTIUM 166 MHZ MMX, was Kr. 12,999, now Kr. 9,999.
6. FUJITSU PC /AMD K6 166 MHZ, was Kr. 14,999, now Kr. 11,999.
7. OLIVETTI PC /PENTIUM 133 MHZ, was Kr. 10,999, now Kr. 8,499.
8. IBM PC /PENTIUM 166 MHZ MMX, was Kr. 22,495, now Kr. 20,495.
9. COMPAC PC /PENTIUM 150 MHZ, Kr. 12,999.
10.APOLLO PC /PENTIUM 166 MHZ MMX, was Kr. 17,999, now Kr. 14,999.
11.IBM /PENTIUM 133 MHZ, was Kr. 13,995, now Kr. 12,995
12.IBM PC /PENTIUM 200 MHZ MMX, Kr. 26,995
13.COMPAQ PC /PENTIUM 166 MHZ, was Kr. 15,995, now Kr. 14,995.
14.FUJITSU PC /AMD K6 200 MHZ, was Kr. 16,999, now Kr. 13,999.
15.FUJITSU MULTIMEDIA PC 150 MHZ, was Kr. 11,999, now Kr. 8,499.
16.OLIVETTI PC /PENTIUM 150 MHZ, was Kr. 13,999, now Kr. 9,999.

Of the 16 PC offers all were Intel Pentium PCs except for 3, which were the AMDs K6. (#15 may well be an AMD K5 PC, as nothing is stated).

It appears that electric city are not selling Cyrix PCs. The first add that I posted from Helsingoer, was for a store selling all kinds of goods, like a Woolworths.

If my memory serves me right, the setting was Kronborg Castle, Helsingoer, where Shakespeare wrote a screenplay called Holger Danske. Was that not where the expression "Something is rotten in Denmark!" came from? Somebody help me.

By the way beepers are not used in Denmark by anybody! If you want to talk to someone call him. All workers not sitting behind a desk or working in a factory carries cellular phones. My cousin's son operates a carpet and drapery store and all of his 9 installers carries a Nokia cell phone.

Enough said, time to walk the dog,
humble carl
