Clinton was brilliant and a policy wonk. I found fault with much of his foreign policy implementation, but not his understanding.

Bush has shown little sign of even understanding or caring much about foreign policy. Now he's using American power to force this idiotic missile defense boondogle on the rest of the world. Check out the Economist's cover story this week for a conservative British opinion on that one. They're trying to figure out our real motives, as the stated arguments make no sense whatsoever.

I can just imagine what you would have said had Clinton talked about looking into Putin's eyes and seeing his good heart. What a sentimentalist Bush is.
