[TOO Long chat / counterchat] <Hype 1: To put on or decieve, as in deception 2: extravagant promotion or advertising I hope you mean #2. and in that case I don't view the information presented here as extravagant, since this is the Amati Investors Thread.>
Hype is a little of both.. "extravagant" claims are excessive of the truth.. and then there are statements that are just plain incorrect (as we are told from Amati itself - such as the ADI/Amati licensing claim previously referenced here). <Other times when I have been rude where it was not warranted please note that I post a public apology very quickly>
That may be Jim, I hadn't really noticed. It seemed you really went off on Peter Piper awhile back... and I don't remember you apologizing however - though you may well have. Not that it matters, but unfortunately not everyone who makes false statements about the stock (or others) feel that there is any need for an apology... though there clearly are those who do.
<True I have been rude in the past, when it is a reciprocal of what is posted to me>
This is often human nature.
I view this as a public forum with the purpose of representing and discussing the facts. I appreciate others who post facts, insightful questions about facts, or reasonable deductions from facts. I offer whatever input I can when I can.
In general, I tend to respect others who are honest and are honorable to their word (especially as given to ME), and whose goal in posting and discussing facts is to make money. I feel less kinship with those whose goal is simply to promote, spin and cheerlead Amati (or ANY stock, and whether they have a large stake in it or not). Speaking of Peter Piper, Jim, I will say, as I have joked earlier, that you occasionaly seem to have a bit of an identity crisis regarding Pat.
<And I can't stand the ANTI- HYPE people put out with no basis in facts.>
If only you couldn't stand the "pro-hype people" in equal measure, I think we would share a common distaste. I view hype and anti-hype the same Jim. I look for substantiable facts. This thread has had an overabundance of pro-Amati hype. IMO, this is not the "Amati Fan Club" thread - some license to extravagance or hype. This is where people come to find information ON Amati - both good and bad. Reasons to buy or to sell.
<Pat to my knowledge has never ever said anything un-factual, and have no idea what your intent is>
See my previous post re: ADI/Amati (that YOU referenced). Do you now have this knowledge of Pat saying something "un-factual"? Many reading this will be watching closely how objectively you respond to this, Jim.
<But for the boy who keeps crying wolf, and then does not get the help (or full explanations) when he asks, I have no sympathy>
I have no clue what you are talking about here Jim. I never asked for help. I challenged that there are dollars to Amati associated with CG, and as of yet, have not been shown the press release that clarifies either a percent or specific dollars. I initially didn't ask anyone for information regarding this (until YOU challenged MY statement, and I then asked you to prove up that there were net dollars *announced*, which of course, you did NOT do). Presumably if someone HAD information that they felt to post, they would. If they don't or just don't feel like it, they won't.
<So what ever your agenda is????? please change it or take it somewhere else>
Jim, I am sure you will continue to salutate, advocate, exuberate, cantillate, pontificate, prognosticate, hypothecate, corroborate and generally annotate on this stock in this forum, whenever and however you please.
You can be assured that I will as well.
Good luck!
Steve
