That Lightreading article you posted supports the arguments that I have presented here regarding a so-called bandwidth glut.

There is no bandwidth glut.

That issue is a pure myth that looks sensational in the press and makes for good copy. It really doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

On a related note, it is interesting to see the optical networking growth forcasts reduced from stellar to sub- stellar levels. Those forecasts have historically been understated over the last five years or more. Will history repeat itself?
