I love this time in the mkt. cycle. If you can think for yourself and like the creative process this time is for you.

Well WSTL has more debt on record than when I bought in, and now has positioned itself to issue and sell more shares beyond the current float. I have been here before with far worse situations. I still feel this situation can move forward, if Westell uses its remaining fire power wisely and prudently.

If Westell continues to form accretive alliances, I see a way forward. Accretive alliance in the wireless area should broaden the mkts for all concerned, by expanding the roll out territory for DSL and wireless. I have a call into the head engineer at Westell to see how realistic my ideas concerning the integration of DSL and wireless are. He is on vacation this week.

I have a small investment, not too far above the current price so I am not very exposed. My risk of loss has more to do with time spent thinking about WSTL's situation.

However I am drawn to the challenge of being part of a turn around effort, what I learn from WSTL's predicament, I can use in other investment going forward.

Bottom line, DSL still remains a significant broadband pipe at the edge, for this time in the build out of the broadband cycle.
