Dr. H. I took a "quick" look at GLH:

Anyone that loses over $2.5Million per quarter USD and has a share price over 6.00 could be considered a short canidate. Of course they call most of this R&D but the succes ratio of internet entertainment companies is very low. Their on-line casino might take off some day but even the company's most optimistic comments for actual betting is 1998. The 52w high was reached earlier this month (June 3) just before the Q1 results came out with the $2.5M USD loss. Stock has tanked since then.

My screening would have not picked this up. It is much better suited to mining and exploration plays which have very high volume over a relatively short period (1-5 days) accompanied by rising share price. This distribution phase is much easier to spot in mining and expl companies as the volume dries up - sometimes even before the price drops very much.

You may remember my email re: ACA at anything over 7.00 where it traded for a couple of days in May as a pretty solid short canidate.

I personally would leave it alone because I didn't see a large sell off by the promoters and insiders at its peak. That is the key that usually brings the odds in your favour for a decline which you often see with a early stage exploration stock. Having said that a short at anything over 7.50 (if it rebounds a little more) might not be a bad speculation for the next 20-90 days. If their beta testing is delayed or encounters bugs look for a steady decline. If results are positive the stock might have a bump but how high can it go before technology and market are proven?

Disclaimer - I do not short stocks and do not recommend anyone to buy, sell or short any particular stock at any time. Do your own research and take control of your own investment decisions.

Now here's one for you to comment on that I am following.

Essam I'm sure you are following NNS - Net Nanny S/W. Hit a 52W high of 1.55 toay on 382K shares (over $500K of volume). Internet hype and followers are pumping at full steam. Lots of news coming out re: distribution agreements. JOT and slumping mining stocks has helped make this the perfect time for a NNS promotion. Watch the volume, $volume and price carefully. If this one catches on like JOT's promo look for it to reach "top 5" dollar volume of VSE/ASE sometime this week or next (i.e. over $1 million in volume). I would start carefully watching it as a short canidate the day it trades over $1 million in volume and gains more than 20%. Once this threshhold is passed I would look to short when price starts a reversal and volume drops off "significantly". Of course significant volume decrease might be down to 100K shares or even 2-300K shares depending on how much steam it gained and paper was dumped on the way up.

Comments appreciated.
