gem-x, The reasons I was booted from the drbob board are somewhat nebulous. I didn't break any of drbob's rules, although many of his faves were in flagrant violation of his rules in posts to me. My guess is it's a matter of greed and survival. One moment drbob was making pleasant posts to me and the next he was booting me off the board. The only event between the pleasant posts and me getting kicked off was heehee's rebellious creation of a new board. She tried to manipulate drbob into banning me by pulling key posters from drbob's board to her board where they insinuated they would stay until I was kicked off drbob's board. So drbob was in a bind. Without certain players his board surely would have died. He caved under the pressure and banned me. Then he immediately trotted over to the heehee board and basically announced that he had slayed the Iman. That it was safe for all of the chickees to come home. Now I will concede that I was a pain in the behind over there posting the many instances where FA and a general market awareness on occassion surpassed a pure TA analysis. I guess if TA appeared to be vulnerable, Drbob's classes might not be so desirable. An example is EBAY. One of my last discussions over there was about this stock. Somebody said all the technical indicators were against it and that it was a good short. I simply commented that it was one of the last tech stocks I would short. The lemmlings came out in force attacking me. The stock was 63 then and it is now over 67. At any rate, I am gone. They seem to want a board where they pat on each other's behind and blow in their ears in happy harmony as they ignore bad TA calls. I some how thought the board was a place where we could discuss TA, it's good aspects and it's weak aspects. But I couldn't do that because the board seemed to have a religious fervor that attacked in large numbers when I even hinted about it's shortcomings. The real funny thing is that major published TA people support the very things I was saying. I guess some of the people over their had absolutely no self control and they would read my posts that would anger them and have them upset all day long. Imagine not having the will power to skip over posts from people you don't like or not even be able to put them on ignore. One of the weaker ones put me on ignore but didn't ignore the posts that were responses to my post. So this very fragile person was becoming upset, not by my posts, but by the posts directed at me, but still called me the villain. My contention always was that most of the bickering was other people responding to me and not my posts. I would make a simple post. A group would complain, and then another group would complain about the bickering blaming it all on me, who merely made a simple statement or clarified with examples posts I had made. I guess I'm rambling. It's just that I'm somewhat disappointed that the whole thing wasn't handled better. It was almost small town narrow minded lynch mob mentality. PS Basically, on the drbob board you can discuss the shortcomings of anything but TA.
