mm - well is there one good sign anywhere? Is there a sniff of good news? Anything? The MSFT pre-announcement followed by the warning was a cruel act and has further reduced confidence far worse than if they came out and simply warned about Q1.

They know the effect that a downturn in their business in the ongoing qtr would have on the market and the market could have taken it better imho if they had told the whole story last week.

The daily ups and downs are destroying confidence in the market having people running back and forward like sheep caught in a trap. Fun for the shorts I'm sure but people with opinions like those displayed on the short threads are below contempt. To take pleasure at others suffering is in my opinion sick.

Still enough of that the point is that business around the world is deteriorating and thats that. All we need to ask eachother is whether anyone has seen any sign of a slowing of the rate of evaporation or whether the slump continues.

What is the longest slump there has been? I say that because when Jack Welch says that business is the worst he has ever seen it then we have to start figuring that we are in a slump of historic proportions. Another year of this and many compies are going to run out of cash. We have been in full scale retreat for over a year and a qtr and business is still declining to the extent that companies are now telling us that not only is there no recovery in Q3 but things are going to get worse. Some companies are now giving up giving any visibility at all.

Well there a little rant with some serious questions.

Best regards,

L
