When I was a boy, I had a friend who lived across the street who was a blowhard. Sometimes he would assert something wrongly, and I would correct him. He would get in a huff and say that he had a book in his room that would prove me wrong. I would say, "OK, go get it, I will wait here". That is when he would really go ballistic, and start huffing and puffing about how he didn't have to, and why should he go to all the trouble, and so forth........
