"The growth rate IS 12%". I'll go further than you, the present growth rate of Sebl is 0. First quarter 15 cents, second quarter 14, third quarter prediction is 13 , fourth quarter prediction is 15. That looks like zero to me.
It is almost unheard of for such a situation not to change. SEBL may collapse and the growth rate will become minus a lot. That's one possibility. Sebl may grow at 50% a year over the next 3-4 years. That's a possibility. But to insist that my zero or your 12% is a realistic base for calculation seems to me TOO focussed on the present. When earnings were doubling in a year should we have assumed that that was the only data to heed? Believing that led to a disastrous loss. Believing that 0 or 12 is eternal may lead to an opportunity loss. I doubt that my 22.8 order will ever be filled and lots of luck for your $14.
