First, with finds in China and Mongolia, the African origins of humanity have been disputed, and many human paleontologists now favor a multi- centric hypothesis. Second, the fact that a hominid (not even homo sapiens) in Africa may have been a remote ancestor makes me no more African than the fact that an even remoter ancestor was probably a dinosaur makes me a velociraptor.........
