Charles, When AOL came along Prodigy and Compuserve weren't fat and happy, they were both well funded by their parent companies, but loosing a ton of money. AOL took them by being smarter marketers and having a more user-friendly product. The rest of your post is speculation, but holding for six months seems like a very good start.
