[Clarifying the facts]

<<. . . and then there are statements that are just plain incorrect (as we are told from Amati itself - such as the ADI/Amati licensing claim previously referenced here).>>>

I stand by my original post. There is a licensing agreement with ADI. When Tac or anyone else at Amati says there's no announcement re: ADI, they're equally correct. By that they mean there's no press release ready.

When you speak of honor, look at your own words. Your posting that the ADI license is incorrect is as untrue as you're accusing my statement of being. It works both ways.

<<<< I challenged that there are dollars to Amati associated with CG, and as of yet, have not been shown the press release that clarifies either a percent or specific dollars.>>>

No one anywhere divulges the dollar or percentage amounts connected with licensing. It's just not done. This would give the competition an advantage that would be unthinkable. I believe I've answered your licensing questions with as much honesty and consideration as I know how. With CG they get a percentage of every chip that goes out the door.

As for owning up to errors, I've made several, but they were never calculated and I've admitted it when they've been proven as such. The USR contract was the only major one that's gone sour. It was very close and then fell out. The datacommunications partnership is still being negotiated. I've been told Amati could have one tomorrow if they wanted but they're not willing to sign a casual agreement but will hold out for a partnership with substance. I also said there would be an interoperability agreement announced and I understand it's still in the mill and that a few egos are involved. There was one other contract that I said would come out "after Supercom" and I think I've figured out which it is --- and the Soundview analyst confirmed it --- but we neither one know how soon it'll be out. You can add ADI licensing to that list. Now, if you are keeping a list, and you really should, please give me credit when proven correct, and ask about any you feel aren't out when you expect.

I don't mind debating any topic, pro or con. I do mind sarcasm, negative innuendoes, and boorish demands. I'm not saying you're guilty of any of these --- that's for you to decide --- but there are some who are.

Regards,

Pat
