Hi Karen,

Thanks for that article on The Wind Done Gone. The author described my own reaction to GWTW, first as an adolescent, then as an adult, really well. I was swept away by the romanticism of it too. Not until I'd become an adult did I realized that the black characters were derided or dismissed as scenery.

BTW, have you all made a decision about our next book? I'll read anything. I'd be happy to continue with the topic of "other". Do you think The Wind Done Gone would fit the bill?
