Hi Wayne,

I checked my bid using freereal-timequotes.com and canada-stockwatch.com. I could tell that it was my bid since it was a tick higher than the previous bid and I also saw my bid size. Penntrade explained that sometimes the Canadian market maker will not report a partial fill to them right away. My partial fill registered on Penntrade later in the day, so that seems reasonable. As for getting filled for 10k shares when only 5k shares traded that day, I imagine that the market maker could have been holding the other 5k shares himself and so they didn't count as shares traded that day. I was just concerned that somehow I hadn't really bought the full 10k.

It was reassuring that nobody on the thread had any questionable experiences to report. TD Waterhouse helped me decide to transfer all my TD Waterhouse accounts to Penntrade when they sent out e-mails yesterday announcing commission rate increases.

Thanks for your feedback,

vt
