File this under not a good sign:

Drove by two large trucking operations Friday afternoon, around 2pm. Driver parking lots were empty based on the number of personal cars parked there. Truck lot was jam packed. Not in a sense of activity, but in a sense of parked. Lined up neatly, all in neat little precise rows, as if they were going to be like that for a while.

If Freight isn't moving, the economy isn't moving, and its a sure sign the consumer is pulling back.
