I've studied NEM's balance sheet and IMHO it is poised to fall big time over the coming years. i'd be curious to see how this trade works out but i think it is way too early and the price of nem is way to low to short it now. i used to know a bloke who worked for nortel till about '97. he talked about over capacity in the industry and couldn't see what the fuss about nortel was about. he eventually was right but it went up 4-5 times from that point before it crumbled. the dot com stocks didn't trade based on the facts and nem won't either.
