IBM is an example of a company that has increased earnings and improved it's balance sheet in the current environment. IMHO, strong companies like IBM, QCOM, .... will continue to operate successfully until they take off with the economy next year. BTW, most companies continue to make money. The recent performance of stock values is another question. OTOH, I was too optimistic last year. Scott
