Missile defense is not a ridiculous idea. What is ridiculous is not being smart enough tpo see that antiquated notions of defense which served us well in a Cold War scenario with only two superpowers can't really be expected to work in a post Cold War setting. W grasps this. And as for Tony Blair, a brilliant pig is still a pig. W may not be as bright as Clinton, but he certainly is someone who people can respect as a human.
