If I understand the two Bills correctly, one of the cardinal rules of option trading is TRY NOT TO PICK THE BOTTOM OR TOP, JUST RIDE THE TREND.

In the case of Bay, Schaeffer committed the "cardinal sin" of picking BAY as a put candidate; the stock is currently at a major turning point, both from the fundamental and technical points of view.

Its ironic that he picked this one--of all the stocks under the sun!
