To All, Well, I tried cold calling and, Lord Help Me, I liked it. I had some great conversations with people and had fun. No, it is not the way I plan to spend my Saturdays from now on, but it was not the horror that I expected.
Could I make a living doing it? Probably not. But I like chewing the fat on somebody else's (Barney Smith's, in this case) nickle. I could have done much better with a list that didn't include fax numbers, other brokerage firm offices, and answering services. But that is the way it goes when your list comes from amateur list makers.
Anyway, now that I have discovered that I don't hate it, get call blocker. Or be afraid, be very afraid. <G> |
