My guess is this. He's guilty (if you want to call it that) of nothing more than an affair. I think this creates a problem for him. I believe he asked clinton to step aside after the Lewinski fiasco. That alone has to be killing him right now. Now when you add in a missing person I'd say he's playing it smart to allow his lawyers do the talking.
