I guess for the publicans it always comes down to the COMMIE THREAT...I don't buy it. after all, the south africans could have easily made the transition to a more equal society a long time ago. They decided not to...mostly due to the right wing element of the country. things could have been a lot better a lot sooner. I could post the same scenario for those FOUNDING FATHERS in Central America during the REAGAN death squad years.....the same threat....communism...yet King Bush cozied up to the great Manuel Noriego who provided protection for the drug runners making the money to supply the Contras. And unfortunately those people were trained in torturing the countryside folks and Indian peasants here at the good ol' American Academy of Uprising and Downputtin. Say what you will, the point is that in many countries in Africa...there are so many arms manufactured by the US and other big powers that they don't have the will to stop the industry providing the method for all the bloodshed, no matter what side you're on. The NRA is an industry, not just a movement for the right to bear arms. CC
