Mani, “AMD has been a crapy stock to hold over the past year” It wasn’t too long ago that this thread was glowing with optimism, certainly not a year ago. Palamino was going to take AMD to new heights. AMD was gaining at the expense of Intel loosing market share. The real blow came this month when Jerry came out with the gloomy forecast, to some this was not unforseen. Up until then everyone on this AMD thread was looking up. But that’s the way it goes, that is, it seems to look good and then all of sudden whammo! I can sympathize with all of that.

But I get ticked when someone on this thread makes a ridiculous statement about Intel products or personel, like for example calling Otellini a Bser. So I just wanted to point out that Jerry was not so forthcoming regarding Q2 and AMD investors are left holding the bag. With regard to Ottelini who I think went out of his way to spell out that Intel did not stuff the channel we will have to wait to see how the current quarter turns out. In Jerry’s case the die is cast because Jerry changed his forecast in July. Up until then he had been optimistic. That hurts. It was then that AMD stock price took a swan dive.
