Fiber glut, "baloney" and putting the pieces of the puzzle together! Did anyone make the connection between these two critical reports that came out only last week? Telechoice and the Federal Reserve co-chairman both punched holes in the generalized "Fiber Glut theory" Telechoice being the top indpendent research organization in this field and the Fed co-chairman being holding the throttle to new capital formation in viable and expanding telecommunication segments. Both of these reports have dissected and isolated the real problem in the so called "Fiber Glut theory"--overcapacity is limited to only a few selected areas, and that lighting new fiber is still growing at an explosive rate of almost 100% annually. If these reports are correct, and I believe they are, then we could soon see a reversal in the Tele-Comm industry. The thing that caught my attention was the fact that both these reports came out only this week and from such divergent groups as Telechoice and the Fed. Message 16107630 federalreserve.gov
