assenol, A fanatic can act fanatically about anything. the word fan, as in sports fan, comes from the word fanatic. Your speech sounds fanatic when you defend your demo/lib leanings. Almost as if you were foaming at the mouth.
Religious fanatics blow up abortion clinics, shoot doctors that perform abortions, stand on street corners and yell that the world is coming to an end, etc. Therefore, I am not a religious fanatic, or any other kind of fanatic.
What I am, is a man who believes in a single diety, called by English speaking people, God, who caused the universe, and everything in it to be created, and Jesus of Nazareth as my Lord and Savior. If someone would ask my to give up these beliefs, or die, I would probably die, but the unbelievers that take me down will suffer severe losses of their own. If you call me "fanatic" for that, then so be it. If you look around, there are probably some left wing democrats that believe the same way I do, but the are in the minority, and must remain quiet or be ostracized. |
