And to that I respond with another caveat.... What about the month before that? How long will that trend last (The trend when everyone expects something and the market does the opposite?) When does a contrary indicator become a contrary indicator itself? In other words, what if this is what everyone expects and it really does happen and surprises everyone because they thought the opposite would happen?

I am not really a firm believer of expectations and contrary opinions for these reasons. In this day and age when information travels at light speed, the contrary opinion can become the new mass opinion overnight and mess up the whole concept.
