"Interesting. I e-mailed S&P a week or two ago because their "stock report" that I get through Schwab is accessed through MCDT only, and only mentions the As in passing very deep in the report. Hoovers list only against the As, with nothing at all for the Bs. Merril Lynch and CSFB both fail to mention the A shares at all. ML can be accessed for 30 days if you register. I get CSFB via Schwab. In both cases, I can't post the link.
I also asked Investor Relations at McData to do a press release specifically highlighting the differences (or not) between the two classes of stock. They didn't reply, but perhaps if they get that suggestion from a few different sources?
In addition, Yahoo doesn't appear to have a MCDT bb at all, so I think I'll start one and try that!
Finally, I've been using this link: shareholder.com -- It seems more succinct."
Good post, thanks for posting. Had not been aware of your link above about the succinct facts about MCDTA and MCDT. McDATA must have put it up fairly recently. It wasn't on their website last time I checked. Am in communication with McDATA IR, thanks for the suggestion for the press release. Will try to remember to mention it to them. As for Yahoo, if our goal is to boost MCDTA, we might be better off with just the MCDTA board to monitor. In the past, Yahoo just had an MCDT board, so I asked them to do an MCDTA one, which they did by replacing MCDT with MCDTA. Even with only one Yahoo board, there have still been inquiries about the difference between MCDTA and MCDT by uninformed investors, and considerable discussion on the board about MCDTA vs. MCDT. |
