Why bother with a confusing PR style system. Wouldn't it be simpler for AMD to call a 1.667 GHz Athlon a 15 GOS (Giga Operations per Second) processor because with 9 execution units it can execute up to nine operations per cycle or 15 billion operations per second at 1.667 GHz, and leave it up to Intel to call their 2.5 GHz P4 a 15 GOS processor because with 6 execution units it can execute up to six operations per cycle or 15 billion operations per second?
